If we're going for Chuck Palahniuk novels, I say we ignore Lullaby as it was poo and instead can they please get the adaptation of Survivor back on track that was derailed by 9/11? I also wouldn't mind seeing Invisible Monsters made into a movie.

But the book I most want to see turned into a movie (or better yet, a kick ass miniseries) is Donna Tartt's The Secret History.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Flavor of the Month by Olivia Goldsmith. Why that book didn't become the Valley of the Dolls of the 90s is beyond me. Such highbrow trash. Delicious book that could make a wonderfully fun movie in the right hands.

I'm interested in the Secret Life of Bees movie that's being made...

I wish Catcher in the Rye was a movie, but Mr. Salinger does not like to have his stories in any other form but written.

One of the best books I've read in recent memory (and indeed, possibly ever) is apparently in pre-production for a film version now. "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell."

'Middlesex' Jeffrey Eugenides . Don't know how they'd do it but it would be cool.

"A Confederacy of Dunces" most definately

A Confederacy of Dunces has made into a musical many many moons ago when I was an under-grad at LSU.

Is Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell a good book? I always look at it when I'm at the bookstore, but I never buy it.

I can't think of any to add to the list. The books I've been reading lately are already movies (Freedomland) or would be hella stupid movies (NNNNN).

It's a phenomenal book.

Isn't "Dunces" already in the can starring Will Ferrell?

Thanks. I'll pick it up next time I'm at Barnes and Noble.
