Sheesh, am i bored! the valentines dance was yesturday so today i'm just hanging, but i find myself unbelievably BORED! the boards are not very active... any place you all go to kill time on the web?

I have a bad cold and its raining in Dallas--so I'm in for the night as well.

I've been watching some stuff I recorded on TiVo--but I'm sick of watching TV.

I'm thinking about buying a High-Definition TV--anybody have any thoughts on this?

HDTV? How many channels offer it?

And what is this TiVO phenomenon? I feel like Canada's missing out on something potentially great!

oooh! i'd love one! i'd go watch some tv but A) my parents are having a dinner party [not allowed downstairs] and B)my sister is watching misscongenialty upstairs

PS- Hi Def would be SOOO cool! i've heard that the picture is a trillion times better!

Tiff, TiVo is a digital recorder that allows you to set "Season Passes" (like go out and grab all the Seinfelds and record them) and "Wish Lists" (like record every movie that stars Judy Garland)

Regarding your question re: "how many channels" of HDTV, the whole TV would be High-Def, so depending upon what service I went with (Voom, Directv, Comcast), that's how many HD channels I'd get. (Right now Voom has the most.)

If you have Directv, Caroline, Tivo is relatively inexpensive... Only $99 including professional install (I have two...)

Netflix is the greatest. I used it all last summer but stopped once school started again. They have so many great movies.

Oh, yeah I'm home too on a Sat night and I should be writing a paper but I'm not doing that either

Netflix.com...you pay a monthly fee (like 17 or 18 dollars) and create a list of movies you want to see from their selection and then they send them to you (3 at a time, but you can pay more to have more sent). Then you send them back when you are done in the prepaid envelopes they send and they send you back the next movie on your list. You can keep the movies as long as you want and you don't pay shipping. I got my movies in like 3 days from when I sent the previous one. It was pretty fast.

Tiff, sweetheart, Chik Filet is a fast-food restaurant that specializes in Chicken sandwiches--I don't believe they do anything with porn...

its a fast food chicken place, no burgers just chickin. i dont like it, but many do. i think its healthier than the other fast food places
