I remember seeing this on BBC America a couple of years back, thought I had recorded it but after an exhaustive search cannot find it.

Is it available on DVD?

I thought this was a great, fresh spin on "Nutcracker" and one I would rather see year after year than the dreadful nonsense we are subjected to.

What dreadful nonsense are you subjected to? I think the Balanchine "Nutcracker" with its gorgeous Tchaikovsky music is close to perfection.

At any rate, your choice is available at Amazon.

Bourne's Nutcracker is a rip-off of Mark Morris's "The Hard Nut."

And Mamie is right--the Balanchine reigns.
