I can't begin to imagine what those parents must be feeling right now. Happy endings like this are so rare.
I could never imagine being missing for 5 years, since I was 10.

I live in St. Louis, and it's crazy here right now.
The younger boy seems to be okay (well, as okay as one can be after something like that), but the fact that the older boy, Shawn, had a cell phone and was allowed to move about freely and interact with other people seems to indicate that the creep who had him was pretty confident that the kid wouldn't talk. I just feel sick at what might have been done to him, physically and mentally. I wish the best for the boys and their families.

This sort of reminds me of that movie I KNOW MY FIRST NAME IS STEVEN.

Which is, of course, your fantasy.
I doubt very seriously that this is or will have a "happy" ending for anyone involved, even if the boys are "safe".
So...what exactly is the situation? I don't remember this case, and the report was pretty vague.

Wow. I don't know precisely what you meant by that, but I'm insulted and feel the need to respond. I don't know what happened to these boys (hence the use of the word "might"), but the reports coming in that Shawn was given fairly free reign seems to indicate that the suspect must have been confident that he was either scared or manipulated into staying silent.

Maybe Namo has been reading too much Lacan.
