Bozo!!! I remember when I was little, my friend and I used to call Bozo on the phone. There was a 1800 number that you could call and and "talk" to him. It was considered a privilege to call Bozo.

I thought it was Bob Bell? Are there multiple actors portraying Bozo? Or was this the most recent one.
Either way, I love Bozo whoever he's portrayed by.

When I lived in Chicago for a couple years in the 90's my daughter was on the show and played that ball-in-the-bucket game and won a Bozo doll. She still has it! Aww, Bozo.

He was one of the many Bozos... but he bought the rights to character himself in 1956 and promoted and licensed it from then on.

Larry Harmon owned the franchise and was the voice on the Bozo cartoons (and the talking Bozo doll).
Bob Bell, Chicago's first Bozo, was the inspiration for Dan Castalanetta's Krusty the Klown voice.

I heard that Bozo was murdered...chopped up in pieces.
They found an arm in the bedroom, a leg in the kitchen
...and his balls in bucket number 6!
