There was this guy named Orson Welles who directed as much as he acted. You might have heard of him.
Some guy named Chaplin too.

"I can forgive the horrors of OUT OF AFRICA"
Anyone who has ever flown, or flown in an open-cockpit biplane can appreciate the Gipsy Moth sequence in OUT OF AFRICA.

There was this Keaton guy, and some Olivier person from England.

Anyone who has ever flown appreciating OUT OF AFRICA---
I've never flown in a biplane, but I can certainly recognize OUT OF AFRICA for a beautifully produced, beautifully designed, beautifully photographed and absolutely excruciating exercise in tedium. Interminable nonsense with occasional flashes of life when Klaus Maria Brandauer is onscreen.
TOOTSIE, on the other hand, is pure delight. I love every minute of it.

"I've never flown in a byplane"
Then I recommend it. It's like riding a motorcycle in the air.
(BTW it's "biplane", not "byplane")
Such a loss to the whole entertainment community and public. SO ..since no one else has said it:
So it's the laughter,
we will remember,
whenever we remember
The Way We Were.
