Brian Setzer Orchestra to appear on Conan Tonight (11/18)

I normally wouldn't post about a band being on one of the late shows but there is a Broadway connection. Leslie Spencer Smith, formerly of the Marvelous Wonderettes, is one of the singers with the band. I plan on checking it out though I'll probably tune in late in order to miss the Pratts.

Okay, so I watched Spencer and Heidi. Never before have I ever seen a host barely hide his contempt for his guests. It was hysterical

My old room mate and I hung out with Brian Setzer one night back in around 90 or 91. He's a REALLY nice guy...super down to earth.

And Spencer and Heidi were on the Insider the other night and the panel hated them too. I don't know much about them because I never watched whatever the show is they spawned from, but that Spencer was one of the biggest jackasses I've ever seen.

I never watched the Hills either. I only know what gets into the news like Spencer trying to legally change his name to "King Spencer". Conan asked Heidi if she called him "King" at home and she started to say no but Spencer gave her the look of death and she said yes. When they came out they got very tepid applause and only because Conan told them to be nice. But it was so obvious that Conan thought they were ridiculous as did Seth Green and the whole audience. Lots of boos as the interview went on.

I kinda feel sorry for Heidi. I had the impression that she's not Spencer's wife but rather his puppet. That he only married her to keep on being famous. But then I remember that she made her bed and has more money then I ever will. After that I stop feeling sorry for her.

And the end they show everyone chatting together during the credits. Conan was talking to Brian Setzer, Seth Green was talking to someone standing off camera, and Spiedi had to talk to each other.

SF, I am so jealous of you hanging out with Brian Setzer. He seems like the coolest guy.

Yeah, she seems like she just sits there and puts up with him acting like a jackass. He's ridonkulous.

Yes, Brian Setzer was super nice. We just hung around drinking tequila and chatting for like 2 hours. I thought it was really sweet too that he said whenever he has an idea for something music-wise, he runs it by his mother first. LOL!

I'm sorry I missed the show last night. I love the Brian Setzer Orchestra.

Heidi and Spencer were on Regis and Kelly as well I think on Tuesday. I've seen The Hills. I never liked Heidi at all, but I will say that once Spencer came in the picture, she just got stupider and more obnoxious. So yeah, I think part of her is just an act for him. It's pathetic because on the show, people were telling her that he was stupid.
