Has anyone else seen this AMAZING movie? I just got back from it and i can't get enough! Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books ever, and this movie sticks to the story surprisingly well for being so short. Sure, it was condensed, but all the important characters and plot elements were there. not to mention the music was very dance-worthy and the singing not half bad. the dubbing was awful, though. and most of all, it was so colorful and happy! i had such a big grin on my face through most of it. oh, and martin henderson=HOT, and i have serious girlcrushes on the "Lizzie" and "Jane" characters. i think i read that one was Miss World and the other Miss India. in any case, they were HOT.
i'm buying this on DVD as soon as it comes out. i highly recommend it!

Posted: 2/20/05 at 10:19amAmerican television is so pervasive that practically every kid in Oz and NZ can do an American accent. In fact most of them are pissed that they're not African-American as well.

I'm reviving this thread, simply because I just got back from the movie. I absolutely, positively, adored it - everyone go see it!
Aishwarya Rai - Miss World, is flawless and beautiful.
And the film itself is great. It's not an American film, so of course we can't (and shouldn't) judge it by American movie-making canons. And it is beyond colorful. And there's elephants.
