Next year, my dance studio is planning on doing a Broadway themed recital. We've been thinking about some songs we would like to use, and we've thought of A LOT of tap and jazz songs, however, we're having a harder time thinking of some good lyrical, modern, and ballet songs. What are some good Broadway songs to do those types of dances to?

Thanks!

My daughter's dance recital was a tribute to New York. Some of the dances used Defying Gravity, Momma I'm a Big Girl Now, Cell Block Tango... you get the picture!

Idk why, and some might think I'm crazy for this, but I think it might be possible to do a dance to "Those You've Known" from Spring Awakening. A modern probably.

For ballet, Phantom is an obvious option.

"I've always secretly longed for an actress to get to the top of the cherry picker and projectile vomit all over the guards below."- Wonderwaiter in the "Defy Gravity?" thread. ~~~~~~~~My dream? Sutton Foster as Cassie in A Chorus Line

My cousin's dance school did a Broadway-themed recital a few years ago. I'll help with some song suggestions.

Jazz:
You Can't Stop the Beat (Hairspray)
It's Your Wedding Day (The Wedding Singer)

Ballet:
I Feel Pretty (West Side Story)
At The Ballet (A Chorus Line)

Tap:
Razzle Dazzle (Chicago)
Broadway Baby (Follies) for the little ones

There were a LOT more, I just can't remember them right now.
