Ending a fierce bidding war with a “groundbreaking” seven-figure deal, GK Films has secured the rights to a big-screen version of inescapable musical Jersey Boys, which tells the story of how blue-collar castrato Frankie Valli turned his shrill falsetto into cold hard cash by forming 1960s pop sensation The Four Seasons. The show had reportedly been pursued by Playtone’s Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, but GK won out thanks to its association with Martin Scorsese, of whom Valli is a big fan—although Deadline cautions that Scorsese is no longer involved. Nevertheless, Valli has agreed to let the film use all of the group’s signature hits, such as “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Sherry,” and the like. And lo, a collective shriek did arise from the nation’s nursing homes...

SOMMS: I knew it was Tink!

Tink Broadway's Jersey Boys gets its inevitable film adaptation
Boobs Broadway's Jersey Boys gets its inevitable film adaptation

What a wonderful day that was. Let's go to the first screening together!

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Meryl Streep can have a cameo as Frankie's mother.
