Does anyone have articles with name Broadway performers stating their views on gay marriage, for or against? I'm looking for above-the-title names. I've tried LuPone, Buckley, McDonald, Chenoweth, Patinkin. So far I've only been able to find quotes from Bernadette Peters and Linda Eder.

I am sure Liza has something to say about gay marriage. None of hers worked out, but her last one was the gayest! And that includes Peter!

Oh, wait, do you mean same-sex marriage? Never mind.

PEACE.

I'm sure Anthony Rapp has said something.

Am I cut out to spend my time this way?

Yes, I guess I should clarify that and ask about their views on recognizing "same sex marriages."

As I recall, Christopher Sieber was asked in the Advocate issue on which he and Kevin were the cover story.

I'm sure someone had to ask Cheyenne Jackson about this issue too.

Idina is all for it, apparently.

And what was their response?

Salve, Salve Regina

Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes

I haven't been able to find the quote from Menzel. Do you have a link or remember where you read this? I assumed that many of the Broadway divas LuPone, Buckley, etc. would have been asked about this especially since most of their interviews are limited to theatrical or gay publications, but I've only been able to find a few so far on the internet.

Here's what Peters had to say in a couple of different interviews

Q: What are your feelings about gay marriage?
BP: I feel strongly for gay marriage to be accepted because young people have so many emotions growing up. If you don't feel you're accepted, that's when you start sneaking around and engaging in dangerous practices!

I was asked the other day, "what's the biggest gay issue lately?" and I was thinking-same-sex marriages would be so wonderful. Everybody- gay or straight-is trying to find themselves and be who they are and it makes it doubly hard when you aren't accepted and you have to hide. And for a young person to think, "Oh, something must be wrong with me..." That has to change. And look at all of these gay couples raising children, it's so wonderful!

From Linda Eder:
What are your thoughts on gay marriage?
I am definitely for it. Marriage is tough for everyone, there's no question about that. And a piece of paper doesn't necessarily mean anything. I mean if people love each other and want to have a ceremony under a coconut tree, that's good enough for me. But ultimately, it really is all about gay people being able to have all the legal rights that come with getting married. Why shouldn't gay people have the same opportunities? It's stupid that people are even fighting over it.

I also found this from Joey McIntyre:

Q: Speaking of weddings, the topic of gay marriage has been in the news. And you’re Irish Catholic. What do you think of it?
McIntyre: I support gay marriage. I don’t see the big deal. It’s really ridiculous. My mother raised me Catholic, and I think the teachings of Jesus Christ have made me a caring person. And in my family, we have blacks, Jews and gays. I was brought up to follow what Jesus said: Love your neighbor, period.
