Good God.
You couldn't have come up with Kate Winslet and Charlize Theron?

This isn't Brastrap Mountain - it's Bulldyke Mountain.
Melissa's not fooling anyone with the makeup and the girly shirt.

Posted: 12/29/05 at 12:28amAs I've pointed out before, and as she has protested too much each time I have done so, Miss Rath has a problem with women. Especially women who have attained a level of success. And if they happen to be outspoken lesbian activists who are successful in showbiz, well, WATCH OUT.

And as I've pointed out before, you are off your rocker.

Omigod. I'm in the Snake Pit with Rath and Namo.
Somebody call Winston!

PJ, I'm sort of surprised by you actually taking part in what a Marxist feminist critique of Rath's behavior in this thread would label "false consciousness." It's something Rath does a lot. Sure, she's a lesbian, but if she trashes other lesbians, for their looks, their butchness, whatever, she gets to join with the oppressor and feel the illusion of power that men in power (who would probably also use the word "bulldyke" as a perjorative) enjoy.
It's a pathology of hers (please note, she's trashing the very notion of lesbians portraying lesbians and instead suggesting fairly typical heterosexual male fantasy actresses be cast instead) and then you, PJ, come along and use the word "deisel."
I really am surprised, not by Rath, but by you.
(But really, should Rath be criticizing ANYBODY for the way they look?)

Namo, you have too much time on your hands.
Or too much crack in your bloodstream. Once again, a bit of humor manages to slide right past you.
So once again, I'll have to translate.
Brokeback Mountain starred two heterosexual actors - men who are the epitome of attractive to heterosexual women. If we were therefore to parody it using a lesbian theme, wouldn't it make sense to use heterosexual women who are attractive to heterosexual men?

The boys get Jake and Heath and we get this???
Eh. The fact that it's Jake and Heath is one of the reasons I have zero desire to see the movie.

Yeah, and not only that, I'm right.
Conservative lesbian-bashing misogynist.
It's not every day you see that in a woman who allegedly loves other women. At least theoretically.
Just look at this thread, Rath. Christ, it's pathetic. You really do hate lesbians who get attention. Well, kd and melissa are both better singers than you, and I guess we can wait til the release of your "feature" to compare your performacne to kd's in "Salmonberries."

Posted: 12/29/05 at 12:55amIt's a theme that crops up with alarming frequency in your posts, Rath. And it sure seems clear that there's truth in jest when it comes to you "lighthearted humor" about successful women, particularly lesbians.

Whatever you say.
I think most people here can draw their own conclusions on what other people's posts do or do not add up to. They don't need you pummeling them over the head with yours.

I want to be around when this is filmed. Are Melissa and k.d. still friends? I mean, after Julie slept with k.d., I am sure things were a bit tense.
(As for the above discussion, even Melissa puts people in her videos like Gwynneth Paltrow, Jennifer Anniston and Juliette Lewis. Wait, that's all of Brad Pitt's exes...ohhhhh, is Anglina in the net Melissa video??)

Posted: 12/29/05 at 10:22amOh come on now, we all know that KD is really Wayne Newton. I mean, did you see the Kennedy Center awards? Listen up, that's Wayne's voice.
