It was only announced yesterday and I'm already over the show coming back and the discussion about it.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

It's funny.
You think it's old and tired and everyone's seen it, and everyone knows how it ends, yet it just opened in Boston for 2 or 3 weeks in a gargantuan theatre and I can't get 2 tickets together....go figure.

I'm sure this will get annoying for some, but Les Miz is what got me into theatre in the first place. And as much as I adore Sondheim, it will always be my first love.

I'm excited to see it back on Broadway, even though I completely understand the arguments against it. If it was any other show, I'd probably even agree. Les Miz is just special to me.

ETA: It's already annoying. I don't care WHAT show it is...nothing needs 4 threads on the first page of a board.

Well... I'm a little miffed because the advertising all implied this would be the last chance to see the show because the tour was ending and this was it. But now it comes back to Broadway.

Just a little miffed. Glad I have my tickets for the May run in Seattle.

Well, I remember about six years ago, Matthew Bourne's all male Swan Lake ran at the Dominion Theatre in London for what was massively advertised as its "LAST EVER London run". I have since lost count of the number of return engagements that show has had.

Listen, you Negative Nancy, all you know how to do is whine, bitch, and complain.

We get that you are unhappy about this.

But it's better than watching some new work that either sold out to be a hit or some new, crative work, that is going to fail miserably because it isn't bubble-gum-friendly to tourists.

So just get over it already. And, maybe, try posting somehting positive for a change.

DAYDREAMER - at least you get to see Jennifer Butt! She is the whole reason I even got into theatre in the first place.

I just don't understand why most thoughts can't be contained to one or two threads on the subject, and why it seems the "rules" are bent for some shows (or posters, for that matter).

I don't want to see ten Sweeney threads any more than I want to see ten Wicked threads, you know?

The thing is the VAST majority of threads on the board are going to be irritating to any one person.

And smart(y pants)penguin, I'm in agreement with you, but I think that except in rare cases like this, the "acceptable" shows with multiple redundant threads don't get a lot of vocal complaints. It's only your Wickeds and (these days) Rents that gut the brunt of the bitching.
