Brooke Hogan

Ok. First, I will admit that I do enjoy watching "Hogan Knows Best" on VH1. I think it is one of the more funnier "family reality shows."

Ever since I saw that Brooke Hogan got a record deal I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and hear her song before I judged her.

Well, I've heard it and seen the music video.

First off, she doesn't sing for the first 1/3 of the song. It's billed as being Brooke Hogan "featuring" some rapper dude. Well, the rapper dude raps for the first third of the song while Brooke girates and does some weird moves with a ballet bar.

She basically only sings the chorus of her own song and I don't even think it's singing. It's more like light breathing.

Then, whatever snippet of the verse she sings is SOOOOOOO cliche.
All about people getting in her "grill" while she's trying to "chill" while she's in the "club" with her "peeps."

Does anyone else agree?

She actually really sings in the show. That's just what the song called for. She has a really pretty voice. Though, she sings through her nose often.

Her voice isn't terrible, but I don't really understand how people who aren't yet successful at the thing they want to be successful at think that having a reality show is going to make it easier for them to reach their goal. It doesn't, it just creates baggage that makes it difficult for people to take the performer seriously. She was probably already screwed anyway in that respect considering who her father is.

I think even if her dad was a faceless rich guy she would still have a carrer. She is hot, she can dance, her voice dosne't need to lots of touch-up, and she plays piano, which can makes mediocre singers seem like gods.

I love the show. I don't feel like they're "mugging" for the camera like "Run's House" or "The Osbournes" or any of those shows. They seem the most real to me.

I'm not a huge fan of Brooke. I don't think she's that cute. I mean she's def. got something there, but she's too "done up." I don't like when girls wear tons of makeup and over apply the fake tanner and bleach their hair. She needs to take on a more natural look. I think the way to make her succeed is to not go the r&b/pop approach because I think that era in music is sort of over. I think they should have had her as a piano/singer/songwriter. She could still sing the sort of music she wants. She could still be a soul/r&b singer mixed with hiphop, but make it something more interesting than what's already out there.
