You gotta love a man who parses the distinctions between two of his films thus:
"In my movie 'Otto', the young boy has been so traumatized by all the hostility and negativity directed at him for being a homosexual that he perceives himself as a zombie, as dead. Or un-dead. 'L.A. Zombie' is quite different. The alien zombie in that film f***s dead bodies back to life. He is a kind of saviour, a visitor from beyond who is saddened by all the violence and negativity on earth, but who tries to help the victims by resurrecting them."
I think both of those sound brilliant. I would love to be a fly on the wall for the pitch meeting for the big, Hollywood re-make of 'L.A. Zombie'. I SO want to see Fassbender in the title role.
