I just woke up from the most horrifying dream. Actually, while I was asleep the dream was quite pleasant, but when I woke up, I couldn't believe what had happened in it.
I attend a small college and in my dream it was a bright sunny day and everyone was walking towards a brand new amptitheater that was built for our theatre department (which, in reality, does not exist), for a debate. Romney was not in the debate. In my dream, the camera never really focused on the stage.
Anyway, we're on our way to the ampitheater and to get there you have to pass by the soccer field and adjoining volleyball nets (in reality, we don't have volleyball nets). People are picnicing and watching an impromptu soccer game. I don't know why, but I'm walking next to Mitt Romney. Now in my dream, I knew he was a Republican candidate, but I never knew his name. As we're walking, the soccer ball comes our way and Romney kicks it in, joining the soccer game for a minute. Someone else kicks the ball over a tall fence to where the volleyball court is. There just happened to have been a tall young lady there, also on her way to the debate. After a "head's up!" she notices the ball and manages it hit it over the volleyball net. Another girl runs up and hits it back. Before you know it, there is an impromptu volleyball game going with 4-6 ladies. This time, Romney and I are standby observers.
Now I'm not going to the debate WITH Romney, he doesn't know who I am. It's all coincidence that I am with him all this time.
We finally enter the ampitheater and take our seats towards the back of the theatre on the right hand side. The debate was already in progress. Everything that was said in the debate was all mumbled (after I woke up, I didn't remember anything that was said). So I'm sitting next to Romney and he's smiling and the things that was said on stage and one of the candidates on stage barks "No, this is a debate, this is why we're here, you'll answer me NOW!" and I turn to Romney like I was his buddy, like I admired him, like what I was about to say would please him. I said "DAMN RIGHT he'll answer to him now!" Romney smiles and chuckles in agreement.
I remember that all throughout my dream I was in such a pleasant, good mood.
Then I wake up. Horrified at the thought of being in a pleasant dream with a Republican. This face is stuck in my mind. I go to CNN's election website to make sure the face is his. Indeed, it's him alright.
Two words: SAY WHAT???

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
