From the CBC: "You'll remember Karen Klein. She's the former bus monitor from New York State who was so infamously bullied by a group of boys on a school bus. The video of the incident was posted to YouTube and went viral. That video led a Toronto man to begin raising funds to give Ms. Klein a vacation. In the end, Max Sidorov raised over $700,000.
He handed Karen Klein a cheque today. We speak to them both tonight."
The interview, for anyone curious, can be heard here: http://www.cbc.ca/asithappens/episodes/ and then clicking on Sep 11, Part 2 and going to the ten minute mark.
She certainly won't have to sit on a bus with a bunch of little a$$holes anymore. Bless her heart.
I hope she retires and enjoys herself. I still have not been able to watch that video. The small clips from news stories were hard enough. Did those kids get expelled?

Yes they did for a full year. Mrs. Klein is also now retired.
Thisis a story with a Happy Ending! There are so few of those these days. Be happy Karen Klein! Enjoy your retirement, you deserve it.
I admit, the amount of money still kinda stuns me (though it's nice that she apparently did get it all--I know there were some cynics who thought that Max was profiting from this financially), but I agree. The radio interview does talk about what happened tothe boys--it sounds like they can't return to the school period. Apparently one boy did send her a long letter of apology--the others didn't.
