Burger King

They've just opened a BK in my school... I mean, at the mall
in my school.

And it is so much better than Mc....

Isn't it?

re: Burger King

Is anyone besides me creeped out by the new "look" of the Burger King character in the commercials. I mean, I know he's supposed to look like he's from a playing card...but that grin is too too creepy. Like when he's peering into their kitchen window...or in bed with that guy.

Creepy. Creepy. Creepy.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

re: Burger King

Oh man I totally agree, beacon. That particular one where the guy opens his blinds and there's the King guy is completely creepy.

You have a mall IN your school?!?!?!

re: Burger King

I completely agree about the creepy-looking King in those ads. Isn't there one where he's lying on the floor of somebody's apartment or house? Freaky! He would make a great character in a new horror film!

re: Burger King

Burger King has been on a roll lately (no pun intended) with very provactive (if creepy or dumb) commercials, but I'm going through withdrawl! The Burger King near my office has CLOSED, the Burger King in my Neighborhood is closed for remodeling and so many BKS around Chicago have shut down--I'm craving a Whopper!

I like Wendy's burgers the best; but I like Burger King's fries the best. Hate Wendy's fries.

re: Burger King

I ate at Burger King yesterday and it reminded why I don't eat fast food. Maybe it is the location. I ate at the one in Rockefellar Plaza near the 49th St and 6th Ave Subway entrance. I felt so gross.

re: Burger King

I love Burger King, but that new breakfast sandwich of theirs is death on a bun. You gotta run like 5 miles JUST to work off that sandwich.

Oh and that King on their commercials freaks me out.

re: Burger King

Burger King is better than McDonalds environmentally anyway, they don't cut down quite as many rainforests. But they also don't do mcflurrys re: Burger King

A lot of the BK here in Oklahoma are closed now.

The king is super creepy.

re: Burger King

The king reminds me of... oh, what was that guy's name? From Shrek? John Lithgow's character?

Lord Farquad?

re: Burger King

That's it, thank you.

I don't know why, but when I see those commercials, I think of him.

re: Burger King

Origin of the big plastic Burger King "mask":

It is actually the top of a helium tank used for giving out free balloons at Burger King Grand Openings back in the 1970's. Someone at Burger King's ad agency saw it in a warehouse and got the idea of using it as a mask in commercials. Originally there was a litrtle nozzle coming out of the mouth, so The King would blow up balloons.

A mall. At your school. Um, what?

re: Burger King

you know your eating to much fast food when...

-you refer to burger king as BK
-you refer to micdonalds as mc
-there is a burger king in your school!

re: Burger King

Ugh. Burger King. The only thing I'll eat from there is the onion rings. McDonald's is almost as bad. *Arby's!*

But I do love the fact that they got "Hootie" (Hootie & The Blowfish...I forgot his name...Darius something) to do the commercial campaign.
