Has anyone here been to it? It looks like a uniquely American arts festival. I'm thinking of going. Is there anything I need to prepare myself for it?

There are two posters this year. My favorite is #2, with the flags of all nations in Liberty's crown.

UPDATE: I love this, there are four ticket prices, $210. 225. 250 & 295. All but the $295. tickets are sold out. There are no differences in what the tickets provide.

"The advantages of purchasing a higher priced ticket are that you are freeing up a less expensive ticket for someone else."

Whenever someone says "Burning Man", I get all excited. But no one's ever talking about Alfred Bester, so I get sad again. re: Burning Man- the Black Rock City Arts Festival

Hmm

Is this a reference to The Demolished Man ? I googled Alfred Bester, he was a 20th century science fiction writer. Was he an inspiration for the festival, or does the name of the festival trigger an association for you?
