"Okay, this is one of those people he's been threatening recess appointments for because they are going to protect our moral values. Apparently, Federal Judge Robert Somma, rear-ended another motorist in his Mercedes-Benz after tying one on in a local gay bar. He had difficulty locating his drivers license in his purse.
His wife, Wendy, says he's not interested in talking to the press right now.
I hope the dems bring him up the next time Bush threatens them with a recess appointment."

I'm not sure if he's a Republican or not...but bankruptcy judges are not appointed by the President. In any case, driving under the influence in and of itself, should be enough to force his resignation.

The number of bankruptcy judges is determined by Congress. The Judicial Conference of the United States is required to submit recommendations from time to time regarding the number of bankruptcy judges needed. Bankruptcy judges are appointed for 14-year terms."

and a little googling shows that he's not a bush appointee. bankruptcy court judges are not appointed by the president, but by the court of appeals for that circuit in which the district is located.
