CA-- Prop 73

I'm doing my research paper in my Admin. of Justice class on Prop 73, the proposition requiring an unemancipated minor to inform her parents before she got an abortion, rather than it be private.

Anybody out there know some good sources of information on this topic?

And just out of my own curiosity, what was your opinion of the prop?

No, a minor should not have to inform her parents before having an abortion. There are some parents out there who seriously may not agree with their childs decision and be selfish by not letting the child have the task performed when it may be extremely necessary for medical reasons. Think about it...basically, if a minor living under their parents roof needs to have any kind of medical procedure or surgery performed, they technically must have it okay-ed by their parents or legal guardians because they'd have to sign off on the forms and such. The political/financial system in this country really baffles me at times.
