So sad. I'm from Chicago and always wanted to go to CBGBs. I had heard last year that the club closing was a very real possibility, so I made a point to go. I was in NYC with a group of people that really weren't interested in going...they were all about Crobar and places like that. But, I convinced them to go for an hour or so, just so I could say I've been there. So, I spent a whopping hour there last summer.

It's a piece of history...

Thank you for putting everything in perspective for me. I thought it was a tragedy that the city of New Orleans is pretty much wiped out and that thousands are dead or dying was sad but you make me realize there are many more important things going on in this country. Bless you for that. Now I need to go shopping! And believe me I WILL PAY for my food and medicine.
