Very sad news, this beautfiful ship was devsatated by fire this morning. The fire is now out, but the ship is damaged beyond recognition:

deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

There's nothing left but the "bones." Very sad.
At least they got the artwork and artifacts out of it. If there's enough money to restore (actually REBUILD) it to its former glory, I'm sure they will. I hope it wasn't arson!
And we'll always have this...

Well it's gone from this:
To this:
Because it was under renovation, it seems the masts, artefacts and various pieces of equipment had been removed, and so are safe, but the basic frame of the ship is badly damaged.

Terrible news.
Apart from being a beautiful ship, she also held speed records for the England - Australia route.
