Do ya'll think the song "Cabaret" would be considered age appropriate for 19? Or too old? I have never seen the play/movie so I wanted some opinions of people who actually knew the show better than me. Thanks!

Cabaret is def. age appropiate for 19..i would say its approp. for 14 and older( depending on marurity). The Show and Movie have the same songs, same characters but different plots, go figure right? The play is very good i studied in school. It opens to a wide range of audiences.
well, i'm 16 and Cabaret is my favorite movie... so, yeah, its good for age 19 (what ISN'T apropriate for age 19?!?!?)
I would say nineteen is definitely age appropriate. The characters themselves are 18+ (if you took everyone's age ranges, you'd get 18 - 70, give or take).
It really depends on maturity. If you can handle the content of the show, you'll do fine. However, if you're against abortion, drugs, homosexuality or any sort of tawdry behavior then it may not be the right choice.

hey sorry about that... I feel extremely stupid. Like, very. I meant the song, for an audition. I thought I put that in the message but that's what I get for not proof reading my posts. *embarrassed*

Oh! That's alright! I'd still think that's appropriate...Sally can be anywhere from 18 to 30-something. Just act the heck out of it! Good luck!
That's funny, because originally I was going to answer it as an audition question, but I wasn't sure. Ah well...
Anyways, in regards to Sally - she can easily be played by a nineteen year old. According to stageagent.com, her age range is 18 - 28. If you look the part, you'll get it - simple as that. :)
Also, I believe the Kit Kat girls are between the ages of 18 - 30 as well, except Fritzie, who may be a bit older (it's sometimes noted that she appears to be the "mother"/eldest of the group...maybe that's why her legs are giving out on her.* Poor gal!)
*When the Emcee introduces Fritzie, she bends down, to which he says, "Oh Fritzie, would you stop that? Already this week we've lost two waiters, a table, and three bottles of champagne up there like this!"

19-too old? NEVER. If anything too young.

^^ again I wasn't that clear. That's what I was wondering, if 19 was too young.
