Can Anyone Here Repair Garbage Disposals?

I seem to have caused problems in mine when I threw some CD's in it.

remove the rubber flaps if you can and try wedging a broom handle on the "spikes" to loosen the jam, then remove the plastic remains of the cd's

Dollypop, dear, you must realize that if the garbage disposal is clogged, it effects your dishwasher. Problems with two appliances in one day. Next you'll be telling us you're having trouble with the air conditioner.
