Haha, Diva
As long as you card is co-branded (ie Visa, MC, etc) you can use it anywhere you can use a credit card.

I just closed my check/savings account at my bank, for a similar promotion at a bigger national bank. I called the bank and was told that if my accounts were at $0 balance for more than a month the accounts would close automatically. Fine. Two months later I got a letter saying my checking account was negative. They had kept doing auto deposits from my checking to my savings even though there was no money in my checking and no direct deposits? They fixed the issue and waived all fees. I got them to send me a letter stating that the accounts were closed just in case...

I haven't set foot inside a bank in months. I get direct deposit, and everything else is handled online. I also couldn't tell you the last time I wrote a check.
I never carry cash, either.

Yes, I live paycheck to paycheck.
And the reason was because I wrote a check to a friend I owed money to. We agreed that he wouldn't cash it until the Monday after I had received my paycheck, but he "forgot" and cashed it anyway. So I got screwed.

I read that as "tazber!"

If you can't control your income, you MUST control your spending. I think you need to figure out on Monday how much you can spend and take that much out of your bank and use only cash. No more writing checks you can't cover till next week, no more hoping the charges won't go through till Monday- If Thursday comes and you have 37 cents, then you have to live on 37 cents till payday. It may be a crunch in the short term but you'll be happier and wealthier in the long term.
