You should have bumped into the counter and looked just to the left of her.

Ha! Sounds like my mom. Watching her put in her contacts is hysterical, because she has to hold the little case an inch from her eye just to see the contact. I love it. My sister is the same way. All of us have bad eyes.
Haha! I can get them out of the case without looking, but I have to get about 3 inches from the mirror to put them in. It's pretty sad.
Edit: My eye doctor actually asked me why I hadn't gotten Lasik already. You think he'd want to keep my business.

I don't have to look when I put them in. I'm much more proud of that fact than I ought to be.
I have to go dress for an awards ceremony. I can wear white shoes now, right?
Yes, dear, you can.

Thank you.
I'm off! Bye, lovies!
D2. The dresser to BWW.
My eyes suck. Transition contact lenses, anyone? Glasses, too. Damn carrots didn't work.

Okay, Deet and anyone else who wants to chime in. I have 3 show spots to fill for a NYC trip with my mom. I know I'm taking her to see Gypsy. I think I should also take her to South Pacific or Sunday in the Park, but she doesn't want to see all shows that I've already seen and I love her for that.
So, I'm trying to decide between any 3 of the following:
August: Osage County
Boeing-Boeing
The 39 Steps
Cry-Baby
In the Heights
Passing Strange
Thoughts, suggestions, advice?
Not that I've seen any of these, but I've heard great things - and would definitely be on my list if I was going - about August.
Just sayin'
Yeah, DD, me too, but for some reason, I'm not all that jazzed about it. But, I do trust my peeps.
I haven't seen BOEING-BOEING or IN THE HEIGHTS, so I can't say anything about them. J2 and I saw Act One of PASSING STRANGE, and it was so strange we passed on Act Two. I loved THE 39 STEPS, lots of fun, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed CRY-BABY (not great but the choreography is spectacular and it was just entertaining) and we're seeing AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY on Saturday night. I'll let you know what I think after I see it.
Cool beans! Thanks!
I get so jealous when I read posts like your last one, deet ... and then I realize that if I lived in NYC right now I probably wouldn't be as involved in theatre as I am here.
LOL! I sometimes do too, DD, and then I remember that I wouldn't be able to see anything if I lived in the City.
Ain't that the truth!

Mr. Bamber would like to show you his appreciation.
Especially with his cute English accent ...
Don't hate me because I live in New York.
How could anyone hate you, deety! I'm just jealous, and then not.
DG - there's also Helo (aka Tahmoh Penikett)
... and Anders
How could one not get obsessed with this show?
And the women kick-ass too.

I've never seen it. I've never been into sci-fi.
But, now, I may have to check it out.
shameys - isnt' that trip in December? I think Sunday closes in a few weeks. Unless there is a new trip I don't know about......... **taps foot**
busy busy busy busy day. And I don't feel good. But other than that I'm peachy, thanks for asking.
Oh and I think my back meds and allergy meds mixed in a weird way because I have been whacky all day, very unlike tink.
There is a brand new trip in October. I just found out about it myself.
I don't think she'd be that thrilled with Sunday anyway, but I think she'd like South Pacific. And if she doesn't like Gypsy, I'm disowning her.
shamey - it's a great tv show, much, much more than a sci-fi series.
