Damn, it is hot here in LA LA land.

A housewarming party - it took about 5 months to get moved in and settled, so now I am having the official "I'm Here" get together.

Bagles, lox, cream cheese, mimosas, blintzes, fruits, muffins, and juices/beer/sodas... along with some other stuff. I always overbuy when I host stuff. There could be anywhere from 20-40 folks coming by, so I was not sure how much of what to get.

In some ways, it is one of the few things that I have/will do to make my mom happy - she is not getting a wedding shower to throw (as of yet) and no baby shower, but dammit, she can show of her daughter's nice townhouse to her friends.

It is also an excuse to catch up with friends - we are all so busy, that unless there is a reason, no one has time to get together.

And Miss P, I will PM you.

Hot in Seattle ... the island was so much cooler, my apt is an oven. Prolly nothing close to LA, but for us "fair weather" folks this is crazy! What happened to the 70s? We went right from low 50s to high 80s.

It is 80-90's at the beaches and not too far from the beach, but the Valleys are getting killed, well over six digits.

I have had the A/C on all day, and it is only in the high 80's where I am.

Tomorrow it is supposed to be 6-8 degrees cooler.
