Wow! Gorgeous, DD!
And hi! You're never interrupting.
Those are the Olympic Mountains.
Here is a view in the other direction - not from the house but nearby. That's Mt Baker in the background.

That's beautiful.
Why haven't I come here in so long?
Well ... notice how I had no trouble interrupting.
Those two are my mom's next painting projects.
Hiya linnie!
What's up, linnie?
I don't know, time zone issues?

It takes me five hours to change over every time I want to make a post. That must be it!

Very nice! Good thing you have lots of wall space.
Well, one is a gift to my boss that let us use his house.
WOW - those are gorgeous, DD!

Sshh, don't call me by my full title! It's both overly formal and Googleable. At least vm isn't in my name!
How are you?
Oh, sorry, **. ******. I'm fine.

Haha. Sorry, I'm messing a bit. It's all over this site anyway, it'd take forever to clean up. Just becoming conscious of it for some reason.
Any news?
No. But BritGuy is in London this week on other business and will be getting first hand information from the source.

Cool!
I love the whole code talk.
What happened to MusicGuy and the SubwayShow?
Let's take this to the PMs, 'kay? It's boring for everyone else.

Bien.
Sweet DQ, those pics are absolutely beautiful!
McGee's could definitely handle rowdy. There were a few places I noticed on the way to the CC after that, that we could've gone to. With the way places are closing these day, who knows what's even left!

Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
Hi all. I just got about 3 minutes to myself so naturally I came here!
DD the pics are GORGEOUS!
Linnie - I was thinking about you the other day and wondered why we hadn't heard from you. Nice to see you back!
Shamey - I have used Priceline 5 or 6 times. (bwaddict uses it too) In all but one case they upgraded me from the hotel class I had originally asked for. I always like every hotel they gave me with one enormous exception - and that was mostly my fault. Since I was always getting upgraded, I decided to ask for a lower graded hotel - figuring they'd upgrade that too. Major mistake on my part. I'll just say that I spent half the night sitting on the edge of the bed, with my feet up off the floor. I spent the rest of the night sitting in Starbucks on the corner.
My biggest 'buy' with them was the time I booked a hotel for $85.00 a night. It was the Park Central Hotel. No joke. The room normally went for $530.00 a night! The timing of your trip means everything. I got that Park Central deal in February and I think I might have been the only visitor to NY that day. July is much, much harder. I bypassed them this time and just made my own reservations through Orbitz at a little hotel I've stayed at many times. It's convenient for me and I've always enjoyed staying there - even though others haven't cared too much for it. It's the Mayfair and it's located right next door to the Eugene O'Neill theatre on 49th Street.
I've never used Priceline, but a friend uses them religiously; he got to stay at the Westin in Seattle very inexpensively.
Thanks for the info, Mamie and DD. I'll have to try it next time. I think I got a fairly good deal for the time of year.
Beautiful pictures DD!
I'll qualify to say that to this day I still remember the one time I used them - years ago - and being bombarded with fees and paying more than I thought. So I too steer clear of Priceline.
Dead thread.
Yeah ... the "thread killer" feeling is coming back to haunt me.
I just HATE summmer vacation and that every year I let myself get sucked into the angst.
*tackles DD, rolls around and gives him big, fat kiss*
