There's one of those rah rah posters in our elevators with one of the buzz words around here, similar to A is for apple, etc. I don't even remember the word now, but I read the T is for Team..., as T is for Teeth.

Someone's oral today.
Yes, in about an hour and 45 minutes.
BD, did you see these?! And we missed Libby, too!

Pay attention, Shira - it's not just all about you! We all have problems too. Girly is just the latest in our ultra elite group to undergo oral surgery.
I have been paying attention - I knew she was due for some oral work, I just wasn't sure WHEN.
Sheesh. *sad face*
Looks like we missed a good time DF. Next time.

Again! It's becoming a yearly event for me. I'm all set to go in and give 'em hell about their tv locations, though, and how they should be on the light like at Boob's dentist and not in the freakin' corner of the room where THEY can see them, but the patient can't. b*tch.b*stard.
*pats Shira on the head* Tis okay, dear.

And I'm off.

Thanks Girly. Good luck.
Good Luck Girly...hopefully when you open wide and he sticks it in it won't hurt too much.

Seriously, there is something wrong with you!
And the 2 of you JUST figured this out?

Since most of you see me usually in jeans and boots, it's probably no surprise that I like and listen to country music (well, that and my fixation with cowboys ) One of my faves from a bit ago was The Judds, and I've been listening to their stuff again lately. This song, "Grandpa", was always a fave - and for some reason reminds me of this crowd . . .
"Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good ole days.
Sometimes it feels like
This world's gone crazy.
Grandpa, take me back to yesterday,
Where the line between right and wrong
Didn't seem so hazy.
Did lovers really fall in love to stay?
Stand beside each other come what may?
Was a promise really something people kept,
Not just something they would say?
Did families really bow their heads to pray?
Did daddies really never go away?
Whoa oh Grandpa,
Tell me 'bout the good ole days.
Grandpa, everything is changing fast.
We call it progress,
But I just don't know.
And Grandpa, let's wonder back into the past,
And paint me a picture of long ago."
Feeling sentimental, Q?

Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the current ridiculousness is more like it. I keep trying to just focus on the season (goodness knows we have enough going on to keep us busy!) - but even just a cursory glance at current events is debilitating.
There really is so much that I'm just plain sick of, and truly do sometimes wish for 'the good ole days' (even though I really don't completely believe in that concept.)
Besides, it's just a pretty song
Q..I was a Jugg umm I mean Judd fan too. I love "Grandpa". I even have their Christmas album some where.
Boobs!! *double hugs* One for liking the Boys CD and one for liking the sig.
I just had the best nap ever. Oh, off days make me happy.
Soapy...thanks for turning me on to the Boys. I love his rendition of "Annie's Song" I'm a little jealous of that nap. Seems all day that is all I want to do, but can't being I have to work.

I even liked his rendition of "Annie's Song," and given my feelings for dearest John, that's saying a lot!
Just breaking in on this day of all things oral: Oral Roberts has died.
Ummm....I'm sad a human being has passed, I'm laughing at the timing.

I'll take the high road and keep my mouth shut.
edit: and that's in response to Mr. Robert's passing.

At least publicly.
I JUST finished paying off my oral misadventures from the summer and have to schedule the follow up appointment, just when we get the notice that our insurance rates/premiums/etc. are all going up. *sigh* For anyone who says we don't need health insurance reform: *imagine what I'm doing with my middle finger*
Then again, I'm grateful that I have a job and any insurance at all.
