I DO call them by their given names...I just have my little pet names, too.

I'll leave your tropical section alone if you refrain from singing. If I hear one note, I'll have to resort to heavy drinking. Think about it.
But just think of the wasted calories that could be put to better use on the EDIBLE goodies!!

To shut you up, I'd make the sacrifice.
Get back here, Deet.

Can you imgaine what would happen if everyone brought their pets?
The gophers would leave and never come back.
And the cows would be grilled along with vegetables, and served with hash browns, a great steak sauce, and possibly a fine Merlot.
I like Deets thinking. I'll fire up the grill!
Oh yea, Tonky has been watching him from a distance.

I am prepared, but we will be out of town for most of the trip. It is the other two that are a "challenge."
My first trip home from college I was drunk for 4 days!
brd, sounds like you gonna have a helluva a Thanksgiving.
Someone at work thought they'd hide the little bit of half and half that was left
Girly, HC was so cute when I told him you found 2 boxes of Funny Bones. He actually thought you picked up 1 box for me. LOL

I am the ninth child, do not think they noticed!
And D1, husband and daughter in tow, has landed. Let the holiday commence!
Totally off topic, and not much interest to most of you...
I just got the Company tickets for the Lakers game on the 9th and parking. (They offered me the 2nd, but I have other plans...).
It is tantamount to getting free Book of Mormon Tickets.
Whoo Hooo, free tickets, and beverages brought to me at my seat!
Happy Eve of Eve of Turkey Day.

Wow - that should be a great hockey game!
You so cute. BTW - the food is pretty good at Staples Center.
But, honestly, the dessert cart at the Dodger Game corporate suite is freaking amazing.
...just in case I don't get a chance to post tomorrow: Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
Love you lots!
I'm so glad to find you all here. I was worried when I saw our news a couple of nights ago. They had the story of those eager shoppers camped out in a parking lot waiting for Black Friday Sales. This was Monday. OUR Monday. In other words, they spent their weekend in a tent. Then I realised that my adults are far too sensible for such outdoor activities. Do these guys really need a third flat screen or an XBox that comes bundled with more of whatever they come bundled with these days? I have news for them. They would save a lot more by not shopping. *sigh*
Enjoy your Thanksgiving, dear people!
G'morning!
HEP!
Speaking as a world-class shopper (some might say shop-a-holic) even I am appalled by Black Friday antics. Shopping, like a good cocktail, is an art. And when done well, like a good cocktail, it can be several hours of relaxing bliss. Not this ridiculous display of frantic consumer greed that leaves one exhausted, tense and possibly maimed. To say nothing of broke.
J2 has taken today off and is busy on day 5 of T'day prep. Max has absolutely no idea what the hell is going on but sits and watches every move he's making, hoping against hope that even one little crumb will be for him. Poor dumb thing.
Finally, it is so wonderful having my sister, brother-in-law and niece here. (They're staying in a hotel, which helps.) We had a terrific time last night at you-know-where, and I just marvel at how lucky I am to have them as my immediate family.
I just wish they could still be here next week, too.

Deet - your sister and I really need to meet some day. We bonded on FB around the time of your wedding. Love her!
I'm posting from home, y'all! In my jammies, no less! Haircut appointment, last minute grocery shopping (gluten-free, dairy-free pie is needed), then clearing off the top of the dining room table. I'm sure there's a wood surface down there somewhere.
