JG - that little girl coundn't be more beautiful! Love the photo!
Morning Peepers!
It's dark and dreary so far this morning and radio said snow isn't expected (in Manhattan) until sometime this afternoon. Not sure that I'll see Kinky.
Superman I did see and it was lots of fun. One great song-You've Got Possibilities--and a few really terrific ones. Performers were having fun and ditto the audience.
One member of the audience as he passed in front of me exiting the row said, "This was 10-times more fun than Matilda which is dark and mean-spirited and no fin." All I could think is Superman was 1966 and Matilda is 2013.

Great observation about Superman vs Matilda, Jose!

I saw that - Walnut Street! Count me in!
Flurries here now.
Thanks Jose for the update. No desire to see Hands on a Hardbody unless they change the Hardbody to something more enjoyable.
G'morning.
It's not doing anything here yet, but it looks like it's going to any second...
We wanted to see SUPERMAN but went to my friend's father's wake instead. What a strange afternoon -- J2 and I wore suits and ties, my friend showed up (half an hour after we did) in khakis, sneakers and a hoodie. His brother showed up even later, wearing ripped jeans and a Members Only jacket. The other brother at least wore a sport coat, and the sister, at least, wore a black dress and pearls. None of them spoke to each other and held court in four separate corners of the room.
The priest and the funeral director both came up to me to express their condolences on the loss of my father. (I think it was the suit and tie) -- you should have seen the look on their faces when I told them he'd been dead for four years. I almost said it took that long to get us all to agree what to do about the arrangements, but J2 discreetly kicked me.
Best part of the day: stopping at IHOP on the way home. TWICE in two weeks!
I'd still rather have seen SUPERMAN.
Too funny.
Somms, I just can't believe Moony had never heard of Max Brenner's. I had asked her, why, lover of chocolate that she is, have we never gone there for dinner?

Emily loves going there when she is in the city! We'll definitely have to go there the next time there is a gathering.
And avoid the Irish pub burger...
I see snowflakes outside my window, so it's hit lower Manhattan.
Today is the day my new windows are being installed. Naturally.
(It was supposed to have been done last week but there was a delay with the order. Naturally. Grrr.)
I did make it to see Kelli's last performance in NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT yesterday afternoon. Fun show. I've been humming Gershwin tunes ever since.
I'm craving Mexican today. And wishing I could turn the clock back.
Moony, stay warm and have a cozy snow day off. Sounds like a good day for hot cocoa!
Deet, I can just picture you.
I haven't had any desire to see SUPERMAN. Perhaps I should reconsider?
I can't wait to see PIPPIN! It's a special show to me, and the comments on the Main Board sound so positive. Does anyone else have tickets to it yet? Would anyone be interested in getting a few of us to see it together?
KC tweeted that she saw Superman at yesterday's matinee and that she thought the cast 'perfect'.
I would love a trip to Pippin.
Let's make a plan! (Let the emails begin )
I haven't watched, but my Twitter Feed is telling me that Michael Strahan beat out Usher and Kristin in a karoke contest on the show today??!! Somehow, I strongly doubt that! Can't wait to see that when I get home.

I DVR it every day. I saw that she was co-hosting today. Different co-host all week. Kelly must have spring break with the kids. I wonder if Moony watched the whole show.

Happy Morning of the first night of Seder. I got volunteered (by my mom) last minute (i.e., Saturday morning) to make Charoses for 28 to the folks we are having Seder with.
You know, if you tell me a little sooner, I would not be so cranky mom. Screwed up my weekend but good.
But that's your specialty! I saw it in the Passover thread.

I saw that, too!
Nope, didn't watch more than 16 minutes of the show. I went out and cleaned off the cars. It's still coming down so my car is covered again. I think I'll let it melt off.
It is, but usually I have a bit more heads up to buy and prep.
If she had given me some more lead time, it would not have so messed up my weekend. Or, if I had a little Sherpa following me around cleaning up afterwards, it would make things easy.
My mom offered to come over to "help" and that was a non-starter.
I HATE waiting - so I would have done my shopping and been ready go to. And I HATE cleaning up. The actual making, that is the easy part.
For the record, it did come out delicious!
I'm seeing PIPPIN on April 6th. It was HC's Valentines pressie. Let me know if anyone gets tickets for the same day.
" Or, if I had a little Sherpa following me around cleaning up afterward..."
Okay, was I the only one that read "Sherpa" as "Shira" and thought "Well that would have made for some good post-passover-posting!" ?
Lane and her daughter are going to be in NY April 16-21 and we're going to try and see PIPPIN while they're here.
We're also doing an invited rehearsal on Thursday evening, April 18. Consider yourselves invited. PM me for details.
Evening Poddie.
You can always do a sleep over at Casa de Boobs if you'd like.
