Q, there are certain things that should be done the old fashioned way. Calling someone about a job is one of them. I told my staff that whenever they calling out sick that I expect to hear their voice telling me. One day one of my staff texted me that he would be out...unacceptable.

Good Friday all ... I usually sleep a lot, but I've been more sleepy than usual lately. I feel fine (other than tired all day) but am concerned I might be fighting something that hasn't quite manifested itself yet. I was in bed and asleep by 9 pm last night and could not get out of bed at 8 am this morning.

Q - that sucks! A friend had something similar happen with an audition for a union gig. Personally when I SM or produce I rather have people called to schedule times or offer parts.

Why are the cows overdressed?

"Sondheim on Sondheim" was just beautiful to attend. It felt almost like an exclusive concert tribute to Sondheim. I was very impressed by an actress named Erin Mackey.

Fundraiser this evening for the TinMan's Shakespeare company - so a champagne reception, followed by an evening of Shakespeare snippets in a beautiful little amphitheater under a perfect SoCal night sky.
