Mornin'
Thanks, Hep.
Hilo.
I was so not with it yesterday, I never even noticed it was Tropical Tuesday!
And when the alarm went off this this morning, I said to myself that at least it's Thursday, then realized it was only Wednesday, so my 'have to get outta bed' groan was louder than usual.

Mornin!
Thanks for all the good wishes!
According to my brother, I look tired and hungover. He's only half right.
Oh, and for what it's worth, I was born on a Friday.

'Morning!
All the big bosses are gone for the rest of the week, so here I sit in shorts and t-shirt, playing CDs, sipping iced coffee and kicking back.
Ahhhhhh........summer.
Yeah, I'm thinking it is going to be another day of reading my book at my desk. blahhhh..
Pinky!!! :) I hope it's the hungover part!
No, it's the tired part. Well, tired is an understatement, but life is really good.

LS, I am sure it's a good tired.
I was thinking it was an earned tired as well, which are always the best kind.
I don't hear shames complaining about this tired which is understandable.
A happy and content Shamey is rocking my world.
That's not all she's rocking....just sayin'
Oh, my.
The cellmate's boss and another higher up just had iPhone 4's delivered to them.
The rest of the population are not allowed to order them yet.

well most people are getting them today that were actually able to order them last week. Some people i work with got an e-mail saying the shipment would be early and arrive today instead of tomm.
Oh, they didn't order them. They just get them...automatically.
There's been no date set as to when the commoners here will be allowed to place their orders.

I'm counting the days until they replace my rotary phone with a Princess touch tone here at the office.
Pink, SOMMS?

Naturally, Deet. It has to match the pink fabric walls in my cubicle.
I wanted a pink princess phone in the worst way. Never got one. There were already four phones in the house, and we didn't need another one.
I got over it.

D1 (my sister) got a Princess phone for her 16th birthday. But it was turquoise, not pink. She was still thrilled. Then we moved to Florida 2 months later, and the phone was left in New York and not replaced. She wasn't so thrilled about that. "Mom giveth, and Mom taketh away."
I never had my own cool phone. I was so mad when my brother got a cordless phone and I didn't.
My first Christmas in the US my sister gave me one of those Sharper Image phones that was black with clear plastic around the base and a neon-ish blue light. I thought it was the coolest at the time. She thought it would go well with my avant-garde apartment.

Not only did we never have private phones, we were discouraged from using the regular house phone. If it was necessary, fine - but there were never to be any private conversations of any kind. The phone was in the kitchen, so you better be willing to say whatever you were going to say in front of anyone who might be there or wander through.
And then, as I've mentioned before, I didn't even have one as an adult for over a decade.
