You'll never get rid of them now, Amber.
I know, but we're leaving for vacation this weekend and they are leaving after that for two weeks. We're moving soon. It won't be too unbearable. :)
Hey Peeps!
Mornin'!
Yo yo, kiddles!
Shame I never cared for Zucchini. Looks like I need to revisit that! Recipe talk is still going on over there. LOL!

I actually don't like it much either Girly -- to eat, that is. People bring it in all the time during the summer and leave it for people to take home or they make nasty zucchini bread. Boobs did make it sound good though.
I also make a zucchini pie to die for. I should have used one of the zucchinis on that recipe, but my sons just love my zucchini sauce. I had to use the biggest pot I have to make it last night...I used 6 large cans of crushed tomatoes....lol.
*hugs LS*
I have a potato, tomato and zucchini 'casserole' that is so simple and simply delicious. It's a summer staple. And there are never any leftovers!
Deet, I LOVED that show. Probably one of my favorites ever.
I wanted to BE Mary.
I had a large 'D' on my wall for many years... I thought her apartment was just perfect. And I loved her independence. And her friends.
And I HAVE tossed my hat in the air.
Mary's apartment and groovy life...
Addy, please email me that recipe when you have a chance....it has all ingredients that I like
...you gonna make it after all!!!!!!
Will do - when I get home tonight I'll send you an email!
Now I have that theme song in my head.
Which is, actually, a pretty good song to sing...
I just realized that Shira has her own Mr. Grant.

A producer friend of ours has three original architectural drawings of famous sets in his foyer, and Mary's apartment is one of them.
"I just realized that Shira has her own Mr. Grant."
My favorite Lou Grant line, from the very first episode:
Lou Grant: Ya got spunk.
Mary: Well, yeah...
Lou Grant: I hate spunk.
Right Girly? Luckily I can open this at work.
Q, very cool! I need to buy more seasons of her show...I think I got season 1 and 2...now I have to check. I want the one with Chuckles the Clown...I never laughed so hard at anything on TV as that episode!

I lived for Saturday nights as a child - just about the only time I actually LIKED being in our home. ALL IN THE FAMILY, Mary, Newhart - and all leading up to Carol.
THAT was "must see" television!
Me three.
What does that say about our teen-age years?

Same here, except that I was an adult, not a teen or a child. Now-hubby and I would make dinner (he liked to "cook" KFC chicken), and watch the Saturday night lineup while we baked a Snacking Cake (if anyone remembers those). We were poor college/grad school students and it was a fun, cheap date. We still look back on those nights as "the good old days".

Too true, Q.
RANT: I'd like to take the poster known as NewInTown and smack the crap out of him. RANT OVER.

It was worth reading through that thread just to see you call him Newt.
