Morning, stragglers!
I'm glad to see that others understood what I was saying. There are times I do have convoluted logic, but that was not one of them. Sorry, Deet!

I have no idea what you are talking about, but that's because I am too lazy to go back a page

Thanks Deet. BTW I am not renewing my contract so it can now be the "Deet & Girly Hour"

No thanks, I prefer to just do guest spots whenever you're not available. Sort of like when you cover for me with Shira (a contract I'm not renewing.)

We can always have "The Girly Show". I wonder if Tina Fey has the title copywrited?
'Morning, all! Crappy weather outside.

Together may we be protected
Together may we be nourished
Together may we work with great energy
May our journey together be brilliant and effective
May there be no bad feelings between us
Peace, peace, peace

Any mishaps at the prom?
OH!! Did you check out that girl's date...the one who was so excited that he was gay?

No dress explosions this year - first time in recent memory! fabulous food - 6 fabulous dessert. I can vouch for 4 of them. Death by Chocolate almost put me in a coma - a nice coma. Post Prom party was a casino cruise on the Potomac River.
Mr. Gay Date was adorable. He looked like a young Ben Vereen - complete with dimples. I could see him dancing, though - the dance floor was muy over crowded. We need to find a bigger venue for next year.

Happy Monday, peeps.
Shira, what's not to get? It's sausage, eggs, grits, cantaloupe, orange and some French toast in the background.

I don't think she got the sausage. At first, I thought it was some kind of cinnamon roll.
A casino cruise sounds fab!!

Moony, he sounds devine
JG2, I like the midwestern breakfast where they put everything in a gridle and serve it that way.
#513No Donut Monday
Posted: 4/26/10 at 10:30amI think the grits confused Shira.
#514No Donut Monday
Posted: 4/26/10 at 10:36amI do, too. They confuse most people. I eat them like a yankee with a little butter and sugar so they are like Cream of Wheat. The Swede tried them for the first time and decided they needed salt and pepper like a true Southerner.

Posted: 4/26/10 at 10:40amI thought it might be the sausage AND the grits, but then figured she would know the grits. I've never had them. The caf here has them in the morning, but I highly doubt I'd get the true thing.

Posted: 4/26/10 at 10:48amI'm not a grits fan so you can have my share.

Yeah, pass the hash browns or home fries this way.
#519No Donut Monday
Posted: 4/26/10 at 10:54amI know many folks from the north who eat grits in what would be called the correct way. I was just told since childhood that I eat them like a yankee. lol

There is no reason to choose between grits and potatoes - one is a side dish and one is an entree.
I, the Queen of Carbs, have declared this to be so.

Happy Monday Adults.
Grits - reminds me of Southern pasta - you can do just about anything you want with them. (Though grits with cheese does confuse me).
#522No Donut Monday
Posted: 4/26/10 at 11:15amI guess cheese grits are just a runnier polenta? My dad loves them. Mmmm, potatoes with gravy.
