Miss P - I can't take responsibility for what you might experience in London - from what I understand, it was 'lightened up' somewhat for the delicate American sensibilities . . .

We have such low sensibilities that we can't take Mary Poppins? Sheesh, what are we coming to?

I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like she baked them into pies first!
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

My 20 year-old cousin was totally freaked out by the part where Mary makes some of the dolls come to life, but she also has an intense fear of clowns.

Miss P - there's a number called "Temper, Temper!" in which the children's toys come to life and put the children on trial for their inappropriate behavior. It's kind of Speilbergesque, and a little disturbing (I imagine more than a little for children.)

My friends talked me into going to this fullmoon drum circle thing at the beach. It was fun in a cheesy, earth-mother sort of way, but we couldn't see the moon.
