She was thirsty!

That is just the cutest baby elephant. I think she's tired, though.
She is only a few days old.
the t-rex is gonna be pissed. i'm just sayin'.
Her mamma's teaching her to swim right now!
Good evening all.
Hiya mamie!
I remember when the baby elephant was born here... caused quite a stir.
Just love that swimming lesson, Mamie!
We had one born here shortly after the pandas arrived from China. Unfortunately the baby elephant didn't get any press coverage with his super-star neighbors playing on the other side of the path. He was a real cutie too.
G'evening hep!
Pandas do hold the trump card... I have yet to visit the DC pandas since the ones I "knew" died.
You know they think Mei Xiang's pregnant again? Maybe we'll have a brand new baby next time you visit!
OH... that would be cool. My sister lives very close to the zoo.
Our zoo recently imported several elephants to add to the family. They are in a beautiful and large enclosure. Hopefully, they will be happy enough to breed.
I love the elephants. In truth my favorite has always been the giraffes. Sadly the last time I was there we only had one young giraffe left. She was being sent to Florida for the winter while a new habitat was being built for her. Maybe Harris has seen her?
Dinner beckons (It's chicken Harris). Good night all!
The cows are getting very jealous of all these new animals.

"Pandas do hold the trump card"
Well, I suppose that's a matter of perspective
I know that NOTHING will ever match the experience - for me - of being allowed into the penguin enclosure at Sea World, and actually being able to interact with and touch an Emperor Penguin. Nothing. And I am TRULY responsive to the entire animal kingdom (even though that includes humans )
girly
they are not, they are very excited
The e-mail address thread prompted me to go check all of mine. So when Tink shows up again, this is for her.
