Good Lord! We were at the counter where he was checking in, and the sky opened up! It was a sheer wall of water. We couldn't see across the road. Papers were flying off the counter when people were coming through the revolving door. 5-10 minutes sooner, we would have been still outside and gotten drenched.
So glad it held off long enough for me to navigate the maze leading in to the airport, also! What a flippin' mess. It had tapered down to a slight drizzle when I was leaving.
There was a nice lightening show that accompanied me home off in the distance, too.
