One of the more popular accent trees in our city is the Crepe Myrtle, and they're at their peak bloom right now. Everywhere you look there's an explosion of pink.

This makes me happy

An if you're happy, then we're happy. Our crepe myrtle is blooming, too! My mother's blooms in February - but she's outside of New Orleans.

They're just so pretty! And since we have them along side our house by the pool - and my Bougainvillea is there, too - the pool always has lovely pink blossoms floating in it.

And I'm even happier with a Glebby sighting this morning
