Sounds like so much fun. I'm glad you're being kept busy and out of trouble.
I hope you get a hold of Dottie tomorrow.
Gotta go get ready and head out. Have fun tonight at GG.
=( I want to see GG tonight with DG!!! That and DQYNJ with Mr. Wilson. But, I will be in NJ all evening.
We just bought me a pair of rollerblades and as long as Buzz can find his, we will be going to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather.
DG - Why don't you ask Dottie to join us for lunch? Then you or us or whatever could go visit the first family* after lunch! I believe that Dottie lives close to them.
(I'm talking about the REAL first family of DC. The pandas.)

OK - VERY briefly - the documentary of GREY GARDENS made me somewhat angry and frustrated (well, actually a LOT!) but the musical just made me sad. Yes, it features truly magnificent performances; and yes, it has some really wonderful music. BUT, it made me sad to see an entire audience laughing at the foibles of the mentally ill. I just couldn't get past that. I found it no more entertaining than walking around and laughing at the physically challenged amongst us.
However, as it was raining when we got out, I decided it was worth catching a ride back to the hotel - and I actually utilized one of these bicycle/cabs. I was so taken aback by the willingness of this man to ride through the rain to get me home - while I stayed warm and dry inside - that I paid him 50 dollars.
Honestly, I feel like I got more for my money through that than I did with the show - despite the extreme talent on display.

Morning Adults! Happy Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's Day!
I can't wait to hear about the DC gathering.
I had such a wonderful time catching up (well, just scratching the surface of all the catching up we have to do!) with DG on Friday. DG and Angela and Marian. It doesn't get any better than that!
And a special surprise visit following the show from Miss P. What a great Friday night!
(Oh, and Cookie, too. For a wee bit! Icing on the cake!)
Had a wonderful weekend celebrating Mother's Day... the weather is just glorious. I tried to spend as much time outside as I could.
And now I'm getting ready for a crazy, busy work week...
Sunday evening greetings to all. Have a GREAT week, everyone!
Happy Mother's Day adults! I've had a good day here in Michigan...church and then brunch with most of the fam and then a quick trip to Sam's club. The best news is that I now have a laptap and wireless internet connection so now I hope to be in touch more since I can be in more than one location and don't have to be sitting in the office on the computer. Now I can watch TV and play on BWW at the same time. Yeh!!
Sound like everyone has been having a great time in NY and I am jealous. Wish I could have been there to see DG and Jerby's show and Miss P and everyone else. The good news is that I am coming back for a quick trip in June..$38 round trip ticket on Spirit. My one daughter is coming with me and we will be able to see 3 shows. Now I just have some decisions to make. I love those cheap fares! My golly I can't even drive anywhere for 38 dollars.
Hello Miss Addy and Miss Addict. (Are you two related?) Soapy, Harris, anyone else out there.... Moony and I had an absolutely delightful lunch with DG today. We all sat at that table and talked for 3 hours. Sometimes all at once. It was FABULOUS! DG was very impressed with our beautiful Union Station and DC pulled out her most beautiful spring weather for his visit. I'll also be curious to hear how he ended up spending his afternoon. He wasn't real sure when we left him. I wish all Sunday afternoons were this nice!
Hey Mamie...glad to hear you had a great visit with DG. Nothing better than visiting with friends that also love theater. I was just saying today that I wish I could find some "locals" that love theater like me that I could talk to. My friends are just not that into it like me. lol
