What a good time to be here. JUNGLE!!! Ugh - still keep missing DD. I'll catch him one of these days.

Just read back a bit to catch up with everyone's news. So glad everyone has been having good weekends. It was Mr. N for me this weekend, Jungle. I loved him. And he had a fantastic support act - a guy and guitar (a bit like Jack Johnson). Wonderful night.

Pattifan!! How are you. I'm glad that you had a great time at the Paolo Nutini concert. Guess who is coming to Atlanta in June ?? MIKA! Sounds like a fun show. There was a big article in our Sunday paper outlining the 'new' British invasion of musical artists - Paolo, Mika, James Morrison, Joss Stone, Amy Winehouse amongst several others. Pretty soon, you'll be starting a band, too!

Boobs - My niece is getting confirmed next month, so I'm right there with ya'!Glad that you are staying busy, though. I'm looking forward to a quick getaway to Florida next weekend to see a couple of my homies who now live in Tampa.

that sounds like a ticket to me, Jungle! Go, go GO!!!

Paolo was fab - we managed to get right 'down front' with the young 'uns His encore was 'I Wanna Be Like You' from Jungle Book which was WONDERFUL. I'd never heard him do it before and the crowd went wild. (He did look a bit like Mowgli, bless him, with the hair and all)

Oh, and check out James Morrison if you haven't already. Really lovely vocals.

Shamey - "...just another Manic Monday...". Gosh, I sorta' saw the Bangles open for George Michael in concert, about a million years ago in Orlando, FL. I think we caught one of their songs - "Walk Like an Egyptian"...there was a bit of alcohol involved, methinks.

Saw a regional presentation of "Beyond the Rainbow" - Judy Garland story and re-creation of her 1961 comeback concert at Carnegie hall yesterday. It was very well received.

P A..stop in with these people..I can't keep up with who is on my Ipod. Wish I was there with you for Paolo. I had to drive my niece and 2 of her friends to her rehearsal for Bye Bye Birdie yesterday and I was blasting Mika for them...1 girl gets out of the car and says to my niece.."I just LOVE your family !!!"...I'm of course the crazy Uncle.

Pattifan - I actually will catch James Morrison in concert in August when he opens for John Mayer! - And yes, I'm going to pop in to Mika's show. It's at a very small venue - should be a crazy show! And, yes, Paolo does have kinda' wild hair, doesn't he?!
