A whiney and a bell-ring for you two
DD - I just got the 3rd season of S&A in the mail - and I'm leaving town for a few days
I can't WAIT to watch this!

Posted: 11/15/07 at 2:14amI think it's the best season. If you start watching it, you won't be able to stop.

I've been like that with the other two, don't see how this will be different!
What I really envision is watching the 3rd, and then immediately cueing up the 1st and watching the whole series straight through.
And we won't discuss what happens after that, with visions of Mr. Gross dancing in my head

Oh, we own all of it. In fact, we lent out the first season, didn't get it back soon enough to suit my needs, and I bought a replacement copy!
You know, I haven't been this besotted with an actor's portrayal of a character since John Corbett played Chris in NORTHERN EXPOSURE - who I was ready to marry on the spot!
And I met John IN SEATTLE (it was filming when I lived there,) and it is one of less-then-a-handful of times that I have been tongue-tied. I simply wanted to grab him, run out the door, and live happily ever after.
And the fact that this current obsession is ALSO in a show that I absolutely adore is just icing on the cake!

Did you go to Roslyn while you were here?

Of, course
You know, perhaps it was a result of having to live through an abusive childhood, but I really did develop these INCREDIBLY strong attractions to certain actors in certain roles.
Not surprisingly (considering the source of the abuse,) my first was Bill Bixby in THE COURTSHIP OF EDDIE'S FATHER. I would have given ANYTHING to be Eddie!
Then came Richard Thomas as John-Boy Walton. I was ready to get our own little cabin on that mountain and . . . well, die there.
Mr. Corbett was next in EXPOSURE. I hadn't watched TV in years - didn't even own one - but then someone introduced me to this series. From the first second I saw him, I was sunk.
And now there's Mr. Gross in S&A. Even though I'm living the fantasy of a love I never imagined, this creation hits me in ways that . . . well, I REALLY wish would hit me!
