Well, considering the fact that I had tears streaming down my face and practically choked (seriously) trying to explain to Caldwell B. Cladwell about the "I Hate Agnes" thread the other night, I'd say we've been having "fun." Sorry you missed it though. (Or DID you?)
Totally missed it. (or should that be a
).
You'll have to recreate that explanation for me one of these days!
It will be my pleasure, Miss A! You would have enjoyed it, believe me!
Sounds like it was fun!
Back to the trenches for me... happy Tuesday of Thanksgiving week!
There was an "I hate Agnes" thread? Man, I miss everything.
Be forewarned, I turn 29 on the 27th, I figure that finally means I am an adult so I might start visiting your thread with regularity.
You are wise beyond your years, Pengy...and a SAG to boot! You're damned-near perfect. How does Yoda stand it???
Yoda has learned to put up with all manner of nonsense, including those aspects of penguicity.
Do I spy a penguin?
Missed addy ...
Hiya Ms. P! Already planning my first raclette party!
And I am planning mine as well, DD!
I might be calling you as I plan for advice.
I'm pretty much a pro after 20 years!!!
And it shows! You do them the bestest.
Hey DD... the Veuve is ready!
yummy
Bubbly!
Addy -
Thanks for the note. If you're still around - tell about Carnegie Hall last night PLEASE!!! (Any chance of it happening again in January?)

Hi Mamie!
Oh, it was such a special evening! We performed Mendelssohn's "Elijah" with Bryn Terfel singing the title role. And, as if that wasn't enough, the other soloists were the glorious Hei-Kyung Hong, Nancy Maultsby and Eric Cutler. Bryn Terfel's performance was simply magnificent and he brought the powerful and moving music to life!
It was also a special night because our Maestro was able to conduct, after spending most of the year battling a life-threatening disease and having undergone a heart transplant!
A full house and beautiful music on an emotional night! Special.
I wish we could do it all again!
Sounds splendid, Addy. Brava!
I wish I had a recording of it (video as well as audio). It was just one of those nights I wish I could keep forever!
A couple of friends were able to be there, so that was very special.
It sounds breathtaking!
One day, before I die, I WILL hear Addy sing on stage!
Oh Mamie - we'll make it happen!
But now, to bed I go... I have to get up early to pack because I didn't do it tonight!! Eek...
Sweet dreams, all!
Good night Addy. Sweet dreams and a happy thanksgiving to you and your mom and dad! (and all the other little nutmegs!!!)
