What in the world happened here?
Just stopping by to say hi. I was away all weekend, stayed up too late last week (but every minute was PERFECT!), and am getting ready for fly to Chicago for business at the crack of dawn tomorrow.
So, fly-by hi.

Hi Shira!
...it's a trip for work, so I'll be inside conference rooms the entire time. One of these days I'll fly out early for a little fun on the weekend! But, right now it's all work and no play. But, that's not necessarily a bad thing. I more than made up for the play last week!

Posted: 10/14/07 at 6:21pmHi Addy! #17 is lost in hyper-space so we've transcended to #18. I wish you could stay but I understand you're busy. You might stop by the new pink thread if you have a minute. We had to recreate that one too.

Hi Mamie!
I just saw the new Pink thread. I'm so glad you started it!
...I hope they can restore the missing threads. I love the sense of history.
(And I can stay for a few minutes!
)

Whenever I'm stuck in a hotel room by myself, I pull out my trusty laptop so I can reach out and touch someone(s)!!!
Remember, Addy, if you see a mouse, speak up! It could mean free drinks!!!

Pretty and delicious, Mamie!
And, Miss P, that's exactly what I plan to do. Once the marathon meetings are over.
I'll keep an eye out for those mice... Once again, something good comes from something icky!
And, D2, how are you doing? Any updates? (I'm sorry if you've already shared news that I missed...)

Hi Mamie, Hi Shira, Hi Addy
My dad was moved out of ICU on Thursday so I came back to NY on Friday - he's still not out of the woods, but I saw no reason to stay since we have to get their NY apartment cleaned out before the lease expires at the end of the month (which J2 and I did today - 30 bags of crap and other useless miscellanea, 7 boxes of stuff shipped down to FL via UPS.)

Being out of ICU sounds like good news!
I spent part of the weekend helping my parents clean stuff out of their attic... it's amazing the stuff that just accumulates!
I hope he continues to recover comfortably! I'm sure it meant alot to you to be able to be with him.

Thanks Addy - yeah, I've pretty much made my peace with all of this - it's not easy but it is inevitable.
What, Soapy?
#115re: Can the Adults Please Smoke? Part 18A
Posted: 10/14/07 at 6:47pmIt's never easy... I'll be keeping you in my thoughts!

Apparently I'm an idiot for taking a text message from a gentleman caller at face value. The text said and I quote;
"My parents are gone, do you want to come over tonight?"
I'm pretty sure he means hang out, my best friend is trying to convince me that I just accepted a booty call. And who know more about booty calls than BWW.

Addy - did you see that Julie AND Ashley were appearing together today to read for some children's event?
And the Waldorf (I think) is doing Poppins themed afternoon teas?!?!?

Oh, honey, I wish I could! We are scheduled out TIGHTLY through the end of the year! So much so that, just to attend my best friend's 60th birthday bash, I'm flying to Colorado that morning, and returning the next day!
I thought retirement meant a life of leisure?!?!? I feel like we work harder now than ever before. Having so much fun and excitement is exhausting!
And for the record, I am NOT complaining
