My usual costume in 'real life' is a Girl Scout...

Girly, I'll be thinking of you tonight. I'm going to a party that ABC Daytime is giving. Their annual 'Casino Night'. All of the ABC soap and daytime stars will be there. (Well, most).

I'm scheduled to play Texas Hold 'Em with Whoppi Goldberg. I lead such a random life...

Hello Addy, DG, Pip, Girly and All!

I hope that everyone is well today.

DG - Yes, the water situation is quite serious here in the Atlanta area. We have had very little rain for quite sometime. The Governor has asked the Corps of Engineers to reduce the amount of water released from Lakes Lanier and Alatoona into the Chattahoochee River. We get the majority of our drinking water from these two reservoirs. We've been on a total outdoor watering ban for a good while. Commercial and permit holders (city governments / Coca Cola...) will be asked to cut back water usage by 10% starting on the 1st. Everyone else is being asked to take voluntary steps to conserve water indoors. Thankfully, we just had 3 days of rain. It seems like all the rain has gone south or north of us. DG, I read that you were safe in Scottsdale. I hope that TinMan is okay, too.

Work is very busy (as always) - but that is a good thing.

We went to the Maroon 5 concert last night and had a blast.

Jungle - I'm back home now (as of last evening,) and all is fine here. We do have friends who have been evacuated from different areas, and it's a little tense waiting to see what happens. But at least they're all safe.

And did I read that right - in the middle of the drought, they're actually releasing reservoir water into the river?!?

Where did all of the usual suspects go?
