Morning peeps! TGIF!!! I love extended weekends!
It seems they kept Shames' false boarding under wraps! No 15 minutes of fame for her.

Girly, don't you watch the news? Some American-Nigerian used his expired college ID to board a plane from JKF to California. He used a found/stolen boarding pass. It seems the person whos boarding pass it was thought he lost it on the subway on his way to the airport and had reported it. The airline relaized their mistake only after passengers complained of his body odor. They asked to see his boarding pass because they couldn't understand how someone like him was seated in this certain section. The FBI caught him when he almost made it onto another flight from California back to NY except the airline stopped him with his false records. It seems he had many boarding passes in his bag when he was searched.

I knew it wasn't Shamey when they mentioned something about body odor. Goddesses don't HAVE body odor.
A belated good morning to you all!

Tis that.
Though I have not quite figured out who is who for the casting (old school, none of the recent crap). I just think somehow D2 and Q have to be R2D2 and C-3PO.
Luke
Leia
Han
Chewy
R2D2
C-3P0
Lando
Darth Vadar
Ewok
Jabba the Hut
Obi-Wan
Yoda
Listening to the Hairspary cast recording as I try to finish some reports for July.
Ugh.

I'm really out of the loop - I don't get the Shamey/Nigerian joke.
SO very slow today, alas I have tech tonight for a show that opens next Friday. Thankfully we have the weekend - including Monday - off.
Tomorrow: hiking up to Lake Twenty-two. Last week's reports say there's still snow for the last 1/2 mile or so. Ack! I guess no swimming in the alpine lake this time.

The rest of the casting is not so easy - I am thinking Tink is Luke.
Happy Holiday weekend Deet. I hope J2 is doing better!

Happy Birthday, Moony!
J2 is fine, YWiW - he was on call this weekend and is on service for the next two weeks, so he "had" to get better quickly. Which means I basically won't see him until we get on the plane to Berlin in 2 weeks. And even then I won't see him for the first few days of the trip, as he'll be at a conference while I'm left to my own devices in Berlin. I'll keep myself occupied, though.
But do watch the news for possible international shopping incidents.
I saw DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY yesterday, courtesy of the tiny terror. It's a gorgeous production, with sets and lighting that evoke Maxfield Parrish, and it has more than a few spellbinding moments. It's still in previews, though, and it isn't consistently wonderful -- kind of creaky in spots, and there are far too many characters, each having their song (with the requisite money notes for them to throb/belt/sing). Overall I enjoyed it, but I'll be interested what the reviews say.

Posted: 7/4/11 at 10:12amThanks, Deet! I hope all my framily members are enjoying the holiday weekend. It's beastly hot here, puncuated in the evenings by fierce thunderstorms. They had to shut down the Folklife Festival and the dress rehearsal for the concert yesterday and evacuate the Mall area due to the storms. We're heading downtown in a few minutes to soak up the festive atmosphere before the real atmosphere gets overbearing.

Good morning, all!
I did my Boy Scout duty this morning and helped a new intern find his way to the Commissioners office for his first day. Those buff, hunky, twenty-something's with pumped bodies straining against their suits can get so overwhelmed. I'm glad I was there to lend a hand.
