Morning.
Does anyone know good ways to sustain energy for the day? I can't drink coffee or energy drinks. And tea caffine has no effect on me. I've been managing for months but today it is hitting me hard.
One good point of insomnia - I hadn't checked Netflix in a while and they now have a bunch of things I wanna see on Instant. Spent a good hour searching and organzing my que. I also cleaned the living room floor. And the oven.

Tink, I know it sounds a little new age - but take 5-10 minutes and breath deep (it sounds odd, but try to breath through your heart imagine the breath going from the lungs, to you heart, to your brain and then back to your lungs) and think about something really positive (maybe serenity doing something cute, or some other image that makes you smile) and try and recharge. It actually helps get me settled and get some energy in the afternoon.
Also a night, make sure you are shutting down 10-20 minutes before you go to sleep (no TV, no computer, no electronic stimulation, give your mind some time to wind down). Make the room cooler than your body (if possible), and do the same breathing for a few minutes.
I suffer from terribly insomnia, and the above has helped me a bit. Maybe it will help you.

Posted: 10/20/11 at 12:23pmInsomnia isn't so much my problem as it is nightmares. No matter what I did, I kept returning to the same nightmare all night last night.

Weird, I was having a sequential dream - I'd wake up, go back to sleep and continue where I left off, wake up, go back to sleep and go on with the dream. It was odd.
Tink - do you drink enough water? Being dehydrated can make you sluggish.

Posted: 10/20/11 at 4:24pmDayDreamer - Mine was sequential as well. But it was also very upsetting and devastating. I kept waking up every 20-30 minutes all night. I tried watching TV, listening to music, reading...nothing would get me away from that dream. It was maddening.
