Awww, feel better NJ Adult contingent.
Although there were no shows to see (other than the Zorra & Zander show, which plays just about all day, every day)it has been beautiful here in SoCal.
I still want to see CMIYC despite the reviews. It sounds like they were looking for reasons to hate it as opposed to just enjoying the ride.
Feel better all.

I'm telling you, it's my new favorite show. I couldn't recommend it more highly. SOMMS, Addy and I sat there with huge, goofy grins on our faces from opening curtain to the curtain call.
Well, if the TWITS didn't like the show, that just leaves more tickets for us!
Love the photos that have been posted - seeing everyone!
Had some horrible news yesterday. Our CT next door neighbor's daughter was murdered in NYC Saturday night. It's been all over the local news and papers. I've known Sarah since she was born. Sickeningly tragic. (There were cop cars in front of the next door neighbor's house most of the morning, and a reporter from the NY Post rang our doorbell in the afternoon)
On that note, a big group hug.

Oh Addy, that's just horrible! I feel so badly for your neighbors. No one should ever have to bury their child. How old was their daughter?
She was 23. Her whole life ahead of her.
We were just numb. Still are.
And it was an absolutely horrific murder.
And the sickening twist is that her Mom and Dad were supposed to help her move out of the city yesterday... a few hours too late.
One of the too many articles about it...

I saw the news reports about that last night. How horrendous!! Her poor parents.

I can't imagine what her family is going through.
I have been calming my mind all night and this morning with happy thoughts of the weekend prior to Sunday!
I can never imagine being that angry to end someones life. There are just no words to this horrific crime.
Very tragic, Addy. Her poor family. I'll never understand how killer's snap like that.
I don't think we're supposed to understand or imagine.
It's too early to think about it, but the thought of her family having to endure a trial makes my heart just ache.
On a different note - how was Anything Goes, Somms?
I didn't love it as much as I had hoped I would. Joel annoyed the heck out of me. I did love the costuming and the bigness of the numbers. I'm a sucker for tap dancing. I'm wondering why I'm not liking the shows that are getting raves as much as I am loving the ones getting panned? Book of Mormon is going to be a litmus test.
Interesting. I wonder if also the full weekend of seeing other wonderful performances colored your feelings about it? Ah well, that just leaves more tickets to THAT show for others! (No return visit...)
I loved the sets and lighting - and the tap dancing!
Funny that I love "Anything Goes" and Sutton, yet I have no plans on getting tickets.
Addy - That is so horrible, I am so sorry.
Addy, that article just about made me cry. How utterly horrible.
My condelences to the family.

It says, "Catch Me" right next to him.
I would certainly give it my best shot!
This is just a distraction for Addy, as there are no words for the horrific reality at hand.
I finally just went through the photos. I saw no picture of the curtain! How rude!
And Aaron Lazar and his wife look like brother and sister. Haha!

Actually, the curtain is pretty - animated clouds that float across the stage. Not as pretty as Hugh, but still...

I prefer to think of Aaron with his sister - making him still available
Who are the understudies? What's the song list? Who do you think will replace Aaron, Norbert, Tom, and Kerry?
Addy, my condolences to your neighbors. It's a horrifying crime.
I need to go home soon...I'm fadiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Addy, that is just horrible! One of my friends was murdered in 1986 - senseless death. Awful world sometimes!
I am also tired, it was warm in the house last night and I did not sleep well. We were at a fun baby shower on Sunday!
Thanks, everyone.
As details are reported, it just gets worse and worse.
This from the update in the town paper:
A 23-year-old former Greenwich woman killed Sunday in her Manhattan apartment during an argument with her boyfriend was attacked so viciously that her side was slashed open and her skull was fractured, prosecutors said Monday.
Police got a call reporting an assault just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday. They broke down the door to find Coit still alive but in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds on her face and torso. She had a gash in her neck that was so severe she was nearly decapitated, according to reports.
Coit, whose parents still live in Riverside, was pronounced dead at Beth Israel Hospital. According to a criminal complaint, her internal organs were visible from a gaping stab wound to her left torso. Her skull was fractured, and authorities believe she was hit with a blunt object. Several knives were recovered.
Nobody should die that way. I just can't imagine what her parents feel right now. How they can keep breathing...
I can hardly breathe from thinking about this.
You know what? Let's change the subject!
Thanks for the wonderful photo, Q. It's very life-affirming!
I have rehearsal tonight for our May concert. Such a lovely program starring Deborah Voigt and Paulo Szot. Happy.
