I loved everything about 'King's Speech' and hope it wins every category it's nominated in.
Wishful thinking. But, I do hope that it gets the recognition I feel it deserves so broadly.
The performances were brilliant. True acting.
Don't get me started on the subject of celebrities who happen to appear in films and on TV and are spoiled a-holes and don't really have an ounce of talent because they play the same damn character (themselves) in every thing they do and are paid way too much and have an air of self-importance that isn't in the least bit deserved and just need to go the fukc away. And are NOT ACTORS! They belittle the craft of acting.
Give me an actor any day.
Celebrities - you can have 'em.

I'm really looking forward to the Oscars this year.
From all I've heard, I think Anne Hathaway and James Franco could be wonderfully entertaining.
I also read an article about some of the things they've eliminated this year to try to streamline it and keep it more focused. It could be a good show!
I'll just be delighted to catch any shots they give us of Mr. Firth!

Mornin'
PT this morning was brutal. And I feel great! AND IT'S FRIDAY!!!
My dad died two years ago today. It's hard to believe it's been two years already. Whenever my parents came into Manhattan they loved to go to Redeye Grill (if J2 wasn't cooking for a holiday dinner), so we're going there tonight to celebrate them. My mother particularly liked the scallops, which of course I can't eat but J2 may order. My dad just liked to be there - he was always so happy by the attention he was given, and of course, having a night free from my mother's cooking.
I'm looking forward to the Oscars, too! A nice quiet evening at home with a couple of friends (well, a friend and his mother, who recently lost her husband, my friend's step-father) and J2 is making lasagna.

Busy Busy day so far. I've left my office once in the last 2.5 hours.

I wonder if my boss can sense my mood from his house. He just told me to start wrapping things up and head on out for the weekend.
I heart him.

Posted: 2/25/11 at 1:20pmThey chose today of all days to give me a new computer, so I have been net-less for three hours. Dt's much. I got a laptop docking station with a twenty inch screen. I don't need my reading glasses any more to see. It's like watching a high def television. Harder to hide my BWW page, though.
